Podcasts I’m Loving for 2020

January 29, 2020 2 min read 10 Comments

I’ve recently discovered the amazing world of podcasts and now I’m wondering how I’ve gone so long without them!

Here are 4 of my favorites so far:

KALYN’S COFFEE TALK

Her podcast is all about the importance of self-care for girl bosses, which is something many of us often forget, as we intently focus on our career &  work.

This uplifting podcast covers themes such as wellness, mental health, and learning how to live your life free from self-doubt and self-judgment.

P.S. girl bosses don’t just mean those that are self-employed. You can be a stay-at-home mom, juggling multiple endeavors whatever you have to be you are striving to be your absolute best at makes you a girl boss in my book ?!

DIRECTIONALLY CHALLENGED

Now this one’s a little bit all over the place in terms of content, but it’s truly about getting different aspects of your life together. Because let’s face it — life’s a little all over the place.

I stumbled upon it randomly and I’m so glad I did. It’s funny, intentional, as well as informational. Plus, for all you TWD fans, the hosts are the Vampire Diaries’ Candice King (Caroline) and Kayla Ewell (Vicky).

BEAUTIFUL STORIES FROM ANONYMOUS PEOPLE

This was my initial foray into podcasts and it completely changed the game for me. If you want to truly be reminded about humanity and have hope for the future, then this is so worth the listen.

The premise behind this intriguing podcast, hosted by comedian Chris Gethard, is that he [Chris] opens the phone line to one anonymous caller, and no matter what he does, he can’t hang up first, no matter what.

1 phone call. 1 hour. No names. No holds barred.

COUPLE THINGS WITH SHAWN AND ANDREW

I’ve been obsessed with this couple, Former Olympic Gymnast Shawn Johnson and Former NFL player Andrew East, on YouTube for what seems like forever (I’m talking 2012 in calendar years, forever in millennial years), and was so excited when they announced they were starting a podcast.

They’re literally some of the most humble and authentic YouTube couples I’ve followed in a bit, and I can honestly say they’re #couple goals!

You’ll see from the podcast, that they share their most vulnerable sides opening up like they haven’t before, all the while walking you through some of their most memorable moments together.

Thank you for this! I think I will listen to Kalyn’s Coffee Talk and Directionally Challenged. Your list of podcasts are very unique and something I’ve never come across before. If you don’t mind me suggesting, also listen to Meditative Stories and Stupid Wise Girl as they’re awesome podcasts as well!

Oh I have been needing some new Podcasts. I listen to audiobooks so often that it’s just my go-to. I’ll start more podcasts this year.
